Kaneva was already a great gig, working with a truly creative team to produce content for a thriving online community. Imagine spending your days living among your gamers, who know each other only as avatars, throw parties in each other virtual homes. In addition to marketing the World of Kaneva to the real world, we produced content to promote in-world events and 3D items for sale…an important source of revenue.

But taking it a step closer to a DiCaprio thriller, we were tasked with marketing the underlying platform on which the World of Kaneva was built to other would-be world builders. Entrepreneurs, game designers, and 3D artists were the target audience for this new platform.

Only problem … there was absolutely nothing to show. Unless you count thousands of lines of code. How do sell a product that is insanely visual to a discriminating audience without as much as a single screen shot?

Our approach was to couple artistic renderings of would-be worlds with loads of atmospheric language. The result, although admittedly wordy, was a surprisingly effective pitch for a product that wasn’t ready for the screen.
